Other details of this weeks Pool Madness:

• There will NOT be a shuttle bus to the pool. It was too hectic to be worthwhile last time. Instead, take the MRT to Hongshulin MRT and jump in a cab. It’s a $120 ride from there. There will be at least 2 FREE shuttle busses back from the pool at 7 and 8.
• We are having an Early Bird special. If you come from 1-3, you will get a beer with your $300 entrance ticket.
• We are going to have drink specials ALL DAY LONG. Sometimes Patron will be half price, sometimes beer will be 3 for $100. Listen closely to the man on the mic for details.

The DJ Line up is sick:

DJ Needles will be taking care of business. This guy has played all over the globe and will be making quite a splash at the pool party. Check here for his website. He has 15 downloadable mixes on there. I just finished listening to the Gangster Soul one and this collection of tunes is real nice.

DJ Rino will be making an appearance also. This guy is really talented and I watched him drop some old-school bangers to a club at prime time so expect to be surprised by his song selection.

DJ Shortee from the Tri-Poets and Da Project (RIP)is going to show you what real music is. This guy loves hip-hop as much as anyone I know and it shows when he plays.

 All right. Here we go again. July 15. DJ Drez straight out of LA. Chifunk brings the noise from Taichung. And FREE SHUTTLE BUS from the Hongshulin MRT to the pool at 1.30 and 2.30 then back from the pool to the Hongshulin MRT at 7 and 8. (If you can’t make the times, then grab a cab.

Get Out of the Concrete Jungle

Monday through Saturday is work intensive in Taiwan. Grinding your life out on a scooter and taking in all the sights and sounds of the buildings and roads? Sunday is for pleasure. Get out of the concrete jungle and see some nature. Feel the Sunday Breeze in your hair. The sun on your skin.

My grandfather always taught me that the things that are easy, aren’t really worth it. The things that take a bit of time are always much better.

Sunday Breeze Part II– Team Canada is in the Building

 It’s that time of the week again. Sunday is almost here and the weather is looking fantastic. As we do with these things, we are changing it up. First, all the way from the Great White North, we are going to have Team Canada pumping out the jams. What? You know about these masters of mash-up. Had some requests for that one at City Swim and it’s my summer jam of the moment.

 

We are adding Spiked Slushies to the menu from The Dive in Taichung. Rumor has it that the flavor will be Gin and Juice. What up, Snoop?

That’s not all. A Taste of the Caribbean will be sharing some of their delicious delights with pool goers this Sunday. I can smell the curry from here and it smells good.
